rollSense with sponsored links from Yahoo! Search Marketing

October 17, 2007 – 5:16 pm
As we had announced when we first launched rollSense, we shall now serve ads in the form of sponsored links along with the recommendations provided by rollSense. We work in partnership with Yahoo! Search marketing. For the time being, ads will be displayed only for your readers located in France. Other countries soon to follow. What good does it bring to the table ? We see a win-win-win situation by using rollSense, both for the blog publisher, their readers and the network the publisher may create. Indeed, recommended content with a couple of ads when prominently placed is likely to attract the reader. Moreover, 1) rollSense brings a compelling service for readers (links to recommended content from blogs specifically selected by the publisher) 2) rollSense creates a network effect as soon as rollSense gets its recommended content from a list of sources shared by each blog from that list. Network means more in-time traffic, ...

rollSense avec liens sponsorisés de Yahoo! Search Marketing

October 17, 2007 – 5:14 pm

mashup*Demo in London, a great event

October 4, 2007 – 6:34 pm
Very pleased to have presented rollSense (and showed Bloggino) to a great audience. The event took place in a club in Soho last Tuesday. We liked the format, 15 start-ups on stage for a 3-minute pitch one after the other, then off to a little booth for demoing to whoever interested. Not too crowded, interesting people, good discussions and contacts. We were the only ones from abroad, it wouldn't hurt to get a little more companies from the Continent in the future. The event was followed by the Blognation launch party by Sam Sethi. We like the idea of Blognation, a global network of specialized tech blogs covering local news.

rollSense installed on the new web site of Marianne, a leading French weekly magazine

September 18, 2007 – 10:34 am
Marianne opened its new web site this very morning, Marianne2.fr. The web site includes three rollSense widgets: A first one that automatically recommends content tapped into a selection of leading French news sites; this widget is visible on the right hand top corner upon clicking on the article you want to read. Marianne has never been afraid to talk about what its other colleagues from the press say. A second widget that displays the latest posts from a selection of French blogs; it is located on the right hand side bar, in the middle. A widget that filters a range of international news sites looking for French politics news; it is located on the left hand side bar at the bottom. Marianne's blog gives additional explanations on the usage of rollSense and other services on its web site. It also allows for caturing a Marianne rollSense widget to copy and paste on ...

Fresh design for 2or3things web site, new applications released

September 3, 2007 – 5:08 pm
After the summer holidays (not so summer this year, rather autumnesque), we felt we needed to revamp our corporate web site. There it is, a simple design, yet (we feel) elegant. Beyond our web site redesign, most important, we launched rollSense in August in public beta. We are now actively working on adding new features, e.g. targeted ads which we announced as part of our goal to encourage bloggers to use rollSense. And we are about to launch our pet project, right from 2or3things entertainment, Bloggino, a fun place to create your mini blog from anywhere, by SMS, MMS, email, IM or through the web site. We are in a test mode right now, so keep your eyes wide open...

ReadWriteWeb on rollSense

August 3, 2007 – 12:59 pm
Josh Catone (thanks much!) from ReadWriteWeb wrote a great post on rollSense. He highlights the fact that rollSense is a great way to use blogrolls, which indeed are somewhat static. Your blogroll becomes smart and dynamic. We keep working on enhancing rollSense and implementing the ads model with which we'll share revenues with bloggers.
