Interesting and depressing perspective on the European startup financing

VentureBeat wrote an interesting post about the state of the startup financing in Europe. In short the lack of exit perspective in the form of IPO's or M&A is to some extent a show stopper for VC's. Hence they tend to invest in fewer companies, however with larger amounts to take them to profitability. Unlike the US market where M&A is strong, which opens the opportunity for many small startups to get into the radar screen of large ones and at some point be backed up. Tough life...

Micro-blogging, interview with Bloggino

DreamOrange.fr, the online magazine of France Télécom R&D, interviewed us back in December about the micro-blogging phenomenon. Of course we talk about Bloggino. The interview (in French) can be found here, along with a good analysis of the micro-blogging space these days. Bloggino is definitely part of that space.  We are currently working on tuning Bloggino to use it in  a full live environment. Soon to come.

Bloggirooms : a multimedia mini-bloggino where all blogginers participate…

A Bloggiroom is a shared space, a Bloggino for all. A bloggiroom is about a specific topic defined by the owner, e.g. an event to come, books you like, films from the 60's, movie stars, whatever you feel like. Anyone then can contribute and post multimedia messages by SMS, MMS, chat, email or from the Bloggiroom. A Bloggiroom becomes a collaborative space and a community enabler. Blogginers may create as many Blogirooms as they want. Blogginers are also free to join and participate in any public Bloggiroom. A Bloggiroom can be privatized and only shared and viewed by friends you accept. This feature lets you exchange more personal infos. Easy to create or join one, just sign up on Bloggino.

Bloggino introduit le mini-blogging multimédia partagé, les Bloggirooms

Bloggino introduit les Bloggirooms, des espace partagés. Une Bloggiroom est créée par un blogginaute autour d'un thème particulier. Par exemple, une soirée à venir, les livres qu'on a aimé, les films des années 60, les plus belles photos de plage, les stars, les restaurants qu'on visite, etc. Pas de limite. Tout le monde peut alors contribuer et publier des messages multimédias de partout, par SMS, MMS, email, tchat, etc. La Bloggiroom devient un créateur de communautés. Une Bloggiroom peut aussi être privée et partagée par les amis qu'on choisit, pour échanger des informations plus personnelles. We thought of letting you know of what our company is up to these days. Our entertainment division is opening up (public beta) Bloggino, a mini- ,instant-  and mobile- blogging service, multimedia and fun.
