rollSense to stop running
February 24, 2010 – 3:40 pm(En Français plus bas) Dear rollSense users, RollSense has been up & running for more than two years now, and I’d say almost flawlessly. We have delivered content recommendations to about a thousand blog publishers, generating around 90 millions widget impressions with a CTR averaging 2%. We had struck a deal with Yahoo! Content Match group to embed their ads along with our recommendations. However the deal proved not to be successful as far as generating revenues. Actually we hardly made any money out of it, just enough to buy us one meal at the café next door. Hence we closed the deal with them. However we let rollSense work for free. All this has a cost of course. Hence we have now decided to shut down the service as of February 20th midnight Paris time. We indeed want to reallocate the resources to ...
